In the past week Sony launched a teaser video to bring up the hype for the supposed Playstation 4, but while it has it’s hardcore Playstation fans gearing up for it the skeptics are also prevalent.  Given that the Xbox 360 had a years worth of a head start to gain a edge against the Playstation 3, it seems Sony wants to get the jump start before the launch of the supposed Xbox 720.

The skeptics are weary because of the original pricing of the Playstation 3 being so high that the Xbox 360 out-shined the Sony console on top of the year long head start.  Sony may have a very high price tag on the Playstation 4 which would keep many gamers from purchasing the console right away, and leave them hoping there will be a price drop near next Holiday Season.  However, there is rumor that there may be multiple options, so the consumer can pick their own console options to vary the price range from affordable to completely decked out.

So this could be a good launch for Sony and it could open up the platform to more gaming having mobile gaming included with the Playstation Vita.  Only time will tell and we will find out when the new console is shown off on February 20th.
